I've loved doing all kinds of graphic art since I was a kid in South Africa. I graduated from the Johannesburg High School for Art, Ballet, Drama and Music (like "Fame", only with uniforms) and then went on to the Wits Tech School of Graphic Design.
Encouraged by my travel-loving parents, I went to Pasadena, California for a Liberal Arts degree. Much fun was hadthen I married an American girl and we moved to rural Indiana (Not that, that ended the fun, of course).
After several years braving the long Mid-West winters while working as Creative Director for a magazine publishing company, my family and I decided it was time to throw caution to the wind. We packed up our lives and moved to sunny and warm Austin, Texas. Everyone has settled in and embraced the Austin vibe.
After years in the corporate world, I've really enjoyed being a full-time freelancer. I get to do illustrations, magazines, advertisements, logos and Web sites, even signs, posters and newsletters. I enjoy working with a variety of clientsit makes life fun and interesting. My clients appear to enjoy working with me too (references are available), especially when I read their minds.
My main interests are art, Macs (Apple computers), history and science and long walks in the park. All of my children are infected now toothere is much art made (and many computers in use) at home.
